Charissa Thompson

Thompson has left FOX Sports in 2009 and started hosting the show for Versus Sports and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was host for Versus' NHL coverage in the studio as well as produced web-based content for Yahoo's heavily-shopped platform. Thompson was the site's presence at high-profile sports events like The 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. She became a popular host in both areas, which led her to join ESPN on August 11, 2011. In this role she was the host of the brand new afternoon show "Numbers Never lie" on the network. In the following year, she was promoted to "SportsNation," she enjoyed an unending run of successes. Thompson left ESPN for FS1's launch the following month in Los Angeles, May 2013 returning in Los Angeles. A sports fan at heart, Thompson has also shown an impressive range of skills to cross over to the entertainment side of television. Thompson was hired to be a co-host of the Hollywood newsmagazine "Extra" in June of 2014 following a string of part-time gigs.
